Hillsborough Deputies Nab Pair Hauling Scrap Aluminum, Find Loaded Syringe in Car

Deputies in Hillsborough County arrested two people late Thursday night after catching them hauling scrap aluminum from behind a local business, and a search of their vehicle turned up methamphetamine residue, drug paraphernalia and a loaded syringe. Victoria McQueen, 28, and David Hajipour, 40, were taken into custody at the scene and now face a stack of criminal charges stemming from the encounter.

According to tampafp.com, deputies were conducting a patrol around 11:53 p.m. on October 15 when they spotted the two individuals behind a commercial property. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, in a social media post, said the same thing more plainly: #teamHCSO was proactively patrolling the business when deputies found McQueen and Hajipour behind the building.

Investigators determined the pair had already loaded scrap aluminum taken directly from the business’s outdoor storage bins into their vehicle, the report notes. When deputies searched that vehicle, they found more than just metal — methamphetamine residue, drug paraphernalia and a loaded syringe were also discovered inside, according to the same account.
