The Madison County Commission handled a variety of county business during its Sept. 28 meeting, including approval of a new vendor contract, appointments to county boards and updates on Road and Bridge projects.
Road and Bridge Director Shannon Spain reported that several driveway pipes had been installed and a rusted pipe on County Road 415 had been replaced. Department crews also continued hauling rock and grading roads.
Spain said a grader was having a mower installed and was expected to return to service, while repairs had been completed on a department truck. The truck was found to have additional mechanical problems after repairs began, including a split in the casing of the high-pressure fuel pump…
