A Lexington man is suing WTVQ-TV and its owner, Scripps Media, over Fayette County property that the television station has leased since 1967.
Stephen K. Justice is asking a judge for a declaratory judgment allowing him to terminate WTVQ’s lease to the 20-acre site off Bryant Road, near Winchester Road.
While paying fixed rent of $600 per month, Justice says the station has rented space to cellphone carriers and allowed the FBI to place a transmitter there, and he says WTVQ has allowed the property to fall into disrepair…
