Two candidates who ran unopposed in their primaries will face each other for a Kentucky House district that covers part of Fayette and Jessamine counties, and both candidates see education as a key legislative issue.
Incumbent Rep. Matt Lockett, a Republican, will face challenger Ryan Stanford on Nov. 3. House District 39 covers part of Fayette and Jessamine counties. It’s a rematch of the 2024 race for this seat.
