Attorney Thought She Won the Case Then a Man Revealed Dashcam Evidence

A Georgia driver facing an improper lane change citation brought an unexpected piece of evidence to court after a police officer testified that he was responsible for a highway collision, despite never witnessing the accident himself.

Chavez Morgan had been cited following a crash on Interstate 675, where his truck came into contact with another vehicle during a lane merge. The prosecution relied on the responding officer’s interpretation of the drivers’ statements, but Morgan had something that could offer a different account of what happened.

In courtroom footage featured by the YouTube channel Verdictly, Morgan revealed that his truck had recorded the incident using forward-facing and rear-facing cameras. Prosecutor Stephanie Brown objected to the recording being admitted, prompting Judge Tammi Hayward to examine whether the video could be considered reliable evidence.
