OHIO — Starting this month, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources announced it’s offering a year-round 25% discount on overnight camping and rentals for veterans as well as active-duty military in the state’s parks.
The discount came to fruition in September when Gov. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, signed Senate Bill 233.
“Ohio is proud to honor the men and women who have served our country, as well as those who are currently serving,” said DeWine. “Offering year-round discounts at our state parks is one small way we can show our appreciation for their service and sacrifice. We want our veterans and active-duty military members and their families to enjoy Ohio’s great outdoors.”…
