LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A Laredo jury has found Customs and Border Protection officer Eliomar Santos guilty of assaulting a fellow officer and holding her against her will.
Jurors convicted Santos on all four counts. One count is a third-degree felony. The others are assault causing bodily injury, unlawful restraint, and interference with an emergency request for assistance.
Prosecutors told jurors that Santos assaulted the woman at her home in 2022, handcuffed her, and held her in a closet. They said he kept her from calling for help…
