Man caught with ‘M30’ pills accused of trafficking fentanyl in Lubbock

Lubbock, Texas — A probable cause affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com on Tuesday revealed Jovante Stidam, 40, was caught with “M30” pills and accused of trafficking fentanyl from a South Lubbock apartment complex.

According to the affidavit, the officer was involved in numerous narcotic related investigations involving Stidam.

In late January, an officer was conducting surveillance at the apartment complex, which was a “known drug location” and noticed a vehicle possibly involved with Stidam leaving. The affidavit stated the officer passed the vehicle westbound on 74th Street and observed the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

The officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 of 79th Street and saw a passenger “making furtive movements and moving.” The affidavit said it seemed as if the occupants were trying to hide things as they pulled over.

The driver of the vehicle seemed nervous while speaking to the officer, the affidavit said. When the officer asked the driver to step out of the vehicle to conduct a pat down, he found “homemade ‘Tooter’ drug paraphernalia,” said the affidavit.
