Two Lubbock men federally indicted for May Food King armed robbery

LUBBOCK, Texas — Iza Wilson, 21, and Taeveion Dwayne Weatherspoon, 26, also known as “Gucci” were federally indicted on Wednesday for conspiracy to affect commerce by robbery and two counts of affecting commerce by robbery, according to documents obtained by EverythingLubbock.com on Thursday.

The indictment states on May 12, Wilson and Weatherspoon pointed a firearm at two Food King employees and threatened force, violence and fear of injury against them to open a locked door.

Victim ‘forcefully dragged’ during armed robbery at Lubbock Co. game room

Wilson is also a suspect in a February game room armed robbery. In the robbery, a gunman ripped a money carrier off an employee and “forcefully dragged” the woman to the other side of the building using her hair and shirt. The suspects also shot the locking mechanisms so that they were able to leave. The suspects took about $600, court records said.

Wilson has been at the Lubbock County Detention Center since May 14, 2023, on bonds totaling $436,600. His charges include aggravated robbery, failure to identify as a fugitive, unlawful carrying weapon, burglary of a habitation, burglary of a vehicle and aggravated robbery.
