Illinoisans who file their taxes electronically and error-free should not have to worry about any delays in getting a refund. An official with the Illinois Department of Revenue said refunds will be direct deposited into accounts in approximately four weeks. To find out the status of a refund after the Illinois Department of Revenue finished processing it, you can go to the Illinois Comptroller’s website and click on “Find Your Illinois Tax Refund System.”
