CHANDLER, Ariz. – An investigation is underway after a Chandler police officer fatally shot a man who reportedly turned a gun on officers during a mental health call. Shortly before 9 p.m. on Thursday, Chandler police were called to a home near Alma School and Elliot roads for reports that the caller’s family member was making suicidal statements, according to a press release from the department.
