SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Edited News Release/KY3) – The city of Springfield issued a notice Friday for a Sept. 17 hearing in a nuisance building case related to Jenny Lind Hall. The apartment building is located at 711 S. Jefferson. Jenny Lind Hall offers low-income housing for seniors and persons with disabilities. For most of 2024, the six-story Jenny Lind Hall in Springfield has been without at least one of the two elevators. Springfield’s Department of Building Development Services began investigating complaints on Feb. 2. Millennia Housing, the company that owns the building, had said repairs were scheduled for July 29. City leaders say the repairs did not happen.
