Central Arkansas Library System announces schedule for 2024 Six Bridges Book Festival

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Central Arkansas Library System unveiled the full schedule for their annual Six Bridges Book Festival this week, which includes many authors from the Natural State and beyond.

The festival will run from Sept. 22-29 and is a mostly-free event that will feature presentations at five different libraries around the Capital City.

CALS will also host events at the Ron Robinson Theater, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, UA Little Rock Downtown, Rock It! Lab, Hearne Fine Art, a virtual presentation and a pie contest at The Root Café.

Three of this year’s presenters are Pulitzer Prize winners, including Toluse Olorunnipa, Isabel Wilkerson and Ilyon Woo.

In addition, several authors from the Natural State will be a part of the festivities including Eli Cranor, Alice Driver, Jen Fawkes, Ayana Gray, Sally Nixon, Elliott West and Nate Powell.

There will also be a special ticketed event on the final night featuring An Evening with Ann Patchett and Robin Preiss Glasser at the Ron Robinson Theater designed to raise funds so the festival can continue providing free programs in central Arkansas.
