September Storms Remembered: 2018 Flash Flood in Arkansas and a Look at the 5-Day Forecast

Little Rock, AR – Today marks the anniversary of the severe flash flooding that struck Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in 2018. Heavy rainfall, following the remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon, caused a frontal boundary to stall, resulting in flash flooding across Pine Bluff and Judsonia. In one hour, nearly 4 inches of rain fell, with areas such as Pine Bluff Water Plant recording a total of 5.66 inches during the event. Roads and buildings were submerged, and many vehicles were left stranded.
