Watching new potential development area off southeast coast

The National Hurricane Center has put a 20% chance of tropical development off the U.S. southeast coast. A stationary front will be parked off the coast over the coming several days. Disorganized showers and storms could help an area of low pressure get started along the frontal boundary late this coming weekend into early next week. Whether it becomes tropical or not, high pressure to the north would steer cloud cover and higher rain chances to the coasts of the Carolinas and Georgia. These impacts could start on Monday and last into mid-week. Stay tuned to the forecast over the next week. We’ll let you know when it’s time to be concerned.
