Dog saved by FWPD officer after being shot in February reunites with care team

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) officer and a dog he helped save were reunited Wednesday after first meeting in February on a call. In February, FWPD responded to a call that involved a dog who was shot with a gun. FWPD Officer Diaz responded to the scene, placing a tourniquet on the dog to stop the bleeding before other FWPD officers assisted in transporting the dog to Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital for further medical care.
