DETROIT, Mich. (WTVG) – A Michigan State Police motor carrier officer died Sunday from injuries he suffered in a crash on I-75 two days prior. Motor Carrier Officer Daniel Kerstetter, 45, was conducting a traffic stop on the interstate Friday morning around 8:30 a.m. near Dix in Lincoln Park when investigators said another driver hit his patrol vehicle. He was sitting inside the vehicle at the time of the crash and was pushed into the back of a semi-truck.
