Greg McElroy Drops Honest Admission on Georgia After Upset Scare Against Kentucky

The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on Saturday against the Kentucky Wildcats . Georgia secured a close road win, 13-12.

The final score all but tells the story of the game for the Georgia offense. The Bulldogs struggled to move the football for the majority of the night.

Georgia’s offensive struggles aren’t isolated to the Kentucky game, but one college football analyst isn’t concerned about the performance. ESPN’s Greg McElroy gave his thoughts on the tough matchup on his podcast, ” Always College Football .”

“Do I think Georgia has some things to evaluate? Sure,” McElroy reasoned. “People are gonna sit there and say, ‘Well, Georgia’s just not as good.’ They are good. This is a really, really good football team that played flawless football in the last six quarters prior to going on the road in the SEC.”

The Bulldogs’ lackluster performance was enough to knock them out of the No. 1 ranking for Week 4. The Texas Longhorns took the top spot after a more impressive first three games. Still, McElroy buys Georgia as the contender they were always expected to be this season.
