Dr. Melvin Brown announced his resignation on Friday. Brown’s letter to MCBOE President Dr. Brenda Coleman announced his resignation will be effective November 1, 2024. Brown’s resignation comes not only amid speculation that he did not have enough votes to renew his contract but also after a series of threats against schools.
