Olympic gold medalist Grant Holloway to be honored in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The City of Chesapeake is set to honor Olympic gold medalist and Chesapeake native Grant Holloway with a “Meet and Greet” on Friday.

The event will take place at Judge Eileen Olds Courtyard Park on Friday, Sept. 20 from 4-5:30 p.m.

Holloway recently won the gold medal during the 2024 Paris Olympics 110m men’s hurdles, with a final time of 12.99. Previously, Holloway won silver during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Chesapeake Mayor Rick West will also be in attendance, where he will present Holloway with a “special gift to honor his accomplishments and for representing Chesapeake.”
