With Americans eating an estimated 50 billion burgers each year , it’s no surprise that cheeseburgers are among the United States’ favorite entrees. A YouGov poll found that while the hamburger has 85% popularity in the regularly updated list, the cheeseburger is close at 83%, just behind french fries and grilled cheese (both at 84%), and tied with fried chicken (83%).

Applebee’s offering “classic burger deal” : One Sept. 18, guests can order a “classic burger deal” for $8.99. Customers can choose from a classic burger, classic cheeseburger or classic cheeseburger with bacon with an order of classic fries. Customers can dine in or take their burgers to go.
