N.M. – Fall and winter are usually the peak times when people contract respiratory viruses, and doctors are already seeing a surge. “Winter is the worst time for respiratory viruses,” Dr. Abinash Achirekar, the KOAT, UNM Health expert, said. “We are talking about three viruses, RSV, Flu, and COVID-19. We are seeing a surge, and COVID-19 as well.”
