Tennessee woman convicted in plot to murder man she met online learns her fate

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – A Tennessee woman convicted of trying to hire someone to kill the wife of a man she met on Match.com has learned how long she’ll spend behind bars. A federal judge sentenced 48-year-old Melody Sasser of Knoxville to 100 months in prison on Wednesday. She’ll follow that with 3 years of probation, and she must pay back a fine of $5,389.31 to her victim.
