SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A new affordable housing development broke ground in Springfield Wednesday morning, celebrating another safe housing option for survivors of domestic violence, people with disabilities and seniors. The new complex is being called Alma Apartments and officials are crediting neighbors in the community for making it possible.
