The Anne Arundel Genealogical Society (AAGS) iis celebrating its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of dedicated service to genealogists, historians, and the local community. To commemorate this milestone, the AAGS will host a genealogy fair. “Digging Your Roots” is scheduled for September 21, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Glen Burnie Improvement Association at 19 Crain Highway S., Glen Burnie. Seasoned genealogists will be on site to help attendees get started on their family history and understand how to use DNA with research and to access genealogical resources at the Kuethe Library in Glen Burnie. The event is free and open to the public, and there will be door prizes, kids’ activities and refreshments.
