Storms return to parts of New Mexico Friday

Storms return to mostly eastern New Mexico Friday. A fall storm system will bring more storms on Saturday, with cooler temperatures by Sunday. It has been another quiet, warm, and dry day across New Mexico Thursday, with just a few high clouds moving through the state. Clouds will increase overnight as moisture moves into the state from the south. This could bring a couple light sprinkles into the Albuquerque Metro to start the day, but it will be dry the rest of the afternoon. It will be dry and breezy in the western half of New Mexico. In the eastern half of the state though, scattered showers and storms are likely starting late Friday morning and continuing through late Friday night.
