SPOKANE, Wash. — A man was sentenced to 190 months in federal prison on Thursday after reaching a plea agreement with the court.
Avondre C. Graham, 29, convicted of second-degree murder in 2012, was a suspect in several violent assaults dating back to 2022.
Graham served less than 10 years for killing a woman who was walking her dog on the Centennial Trail. He also attacked another woman on the trail a few months after the murder.
In November 2022, police say Graham punched his girlfriend in the face 10 times when she came home from work. She also told police he threatened to kill her in what she called an unprovoked attack.
In January 2023, police arrested Graham for an unprovoked assault in downtown Spokane. He was charged and booked into the Spokane County Jail for second-degree assault with sexual motivation and resisting arrest.
Graham pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree assault—domestic violence, and one count of third-degree assault with sexual motivation.
As part of the plea deal, lifetime protection orders were also issued.
