Suspended Rockford driver accused of fleeing police for the second time

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Winnebago County Deputies arrested Bradley Woodcock, 41, for allegedly fleeing the police for the second time and driving on the other side of the road.

On September 19, around 7 p.m., deputies were near Kishwaukee and Broadway streets when they saw a silver Buick Lesabre who fled from Rockford Police on September 16th.

Deputies confirmed Woodcock was driving the vehicle and knew from prior incidents that he had a suspended driver’s license. The Buick started driving on the wrong side of Gregory Street after officials started following him, according to reports.

Police said they activated their emergency lights and started to pursue the suspect at speeds of over 58 miles per hour in a 30-mile-per-hour zone. Woodcock also ignored a stop sign, according to court documents.

Officers stopped the pursuit due to road conditions and later found the vehicle in a driveway in the 800 block of Taft Road.

Deputies took the suspect into custody without incident.

Woodcock is charged with aggravated fleeing police, speeding 26-34 MPH over the limit, improper traffic lane usage, driving on a suspended license and disregarding a stop sign.
