ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The “Friends of the Poor Walk” brings awareness to poverty issues and benefits those in need. The event began at 9 a.m. Sept. 21 at the Y Lodge, 200 Y Blvd. with outdoor Mass. The walk began at 10:30 a.m. along the Rock River Recreational Path.
