Police have identified the victim of a shooting as 25-year-old Damian Lee Marler.
Police made the announcement on Saturday following the Tuesday, Sept. 17 shooting.
The shooting occurred at around 9:32 p.m. near Central Phoenix on 26th Place and Monte Vista Road. Marler, who sustained at least one gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Phoenix Police Department opened a homicide investigation.
Additional details haven’t been released and are part of the ongoing homicide investigation. The police department is asking anyone with information to call Silent Witness at 480 (WITNESS) or 480 (TESTIGO) to provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
