Charleston’s own Brandon Lake and Chandler Moore win big at 2024 Dove Awards

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Homegrown musicians Brandon Lake and Chandler Moore are celebrating after multiple wins during the 2024 Dove Awards held earlier this week.

Lake earned three awards during the Gospel Music Association’s annual ceremony including Songwriter of the Year, Worship Recorded Song of the Year for “Praise,” and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for his album “Coat of Many Colors.”

The event was held Tuesday night in Nashville, Tennessee and featured many of the gospel music industry’s top artists.

North Charleston native Chandler Moore also took home three awards. One for his collaboration with Lake, both listed as winners for Worship Recorded Song of the Year, and he took home awards for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, and Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year where Moore is listed as a writer.
