A man is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting in the Upper Ninth Ward.
A New Orleans Police Department spokesperson says it happened around 2 p.m. Saturday on Louisa Street near North Tonti Street.
According to investigators, the victims drove to the location and were approached by an unknown person who fired several shots into the car, hitting both men. Investigators believe the victims and the unknown person were arguing before the shooting happened.
EMS crews took the victims to a hospital, where one of them later died. The other victim’s condition is described as “stable.”
Police are still trying to identify the gunman and determine the motive.
