Foggy Mornings and Warm Afternoons for Portland, Rain Chances Later in the Week

Portland is in for a pleasant stretch of weather as high pressure brings late-night and morning valley fog followed by sunny and warm afternoons through Monday. Temperatures will remain above average, providing perfect fall conditions, though some areas may experience light valley fog.

However, a cooling trend is on the horizon. Starting Tuesday, weak fronts moving in from the Gulf of Alaska could bring increasing chances of light rain, especially later in the week. By Friday, the chances of showers will rise to around 30-50%, though the rain might not reach all parts of the region.

Looking ahead, there’s an 80% chance that warmer, drier weather will return next weekend as a high-pressure ridge rebuilds over the Pacific Northwest.
