Hundreds ‘Light the Night’ in walk across Tilikum Bridge

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — Hundreds of people joined the Light the Night annual fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Oregon and Southwest Washington Saturday night.

KOIN 6 AM Extra Co-host Emily Burris hosted the ceremony as the festivities began at Zidell Yards on the South Waterfront. with a lantern walk across the Tilikum Crossing after sunset.

The organization works toward better treatments, new research and a world without blood cancers — and the annual Light the Night event raises funds for these efforts.
