ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Rockford Fire Department hosts two open houses for families to learn about fire safety during National Fire Prevention Week. The first open house took place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 5 at Fire Station 5, 391 N. Trainer Road. Another open house event will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 12 at Fire Station 3, 888 Marchesano Drive.
