Motorcyclist, 22, Killed In North Bethesda Crash With Minivan Identified By Police

New details have been released by the Montgomery County Department of Police after a 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed over the weekend.

Rockville resident Baeley Aubrey Thackston has been identified by investigators as the person who was killed on Saturday night after being struck by the driver of a minivan in North Bethesda, officials say.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, investigators determined that the driver of a Toyota Sienna was heading south on Rockville Pike making a left turn onto Tuckerman Lane when it struck Thackston, who was heading in the opposite direction on his Yamaha MT07.

The driver remained at the scene to assist with the investigation.

Thackston was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the minivan was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
