Sheriff seeks help in 2009 San Joaquin cold case

(FOX40.COM) — The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help with a 15-year-old cold case.

Around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2009, sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire on Roselawn Avenue near Buena Vista Avenue.

The sheriff’s office said deputies found the victim, Timothy Beal, with multiple gunshot wounds. Beal was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.

According to the sheriff’s office, Beal was “known to have an extensive collection of valuables” and that witnesses said they saw two people left in a waiting vehicle.
