Loves Park felon accused of possession of metal knuckles, delivering 3 types of drugs

LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested Armando Trujillo, 41, for allegedly owning multiple pairs of metal knuckles and delivering 3 different types of drugs.

On October 22, ISP Slant agents conducted a search warrant of a residence in the 900 block of Anna Avenue. Police found Trujillo, another man and a juvenile in the house.

Authorities recovered bags of cannabis, cocaine and psilocybin mushrooms, THC cartridges, cannabis wax and metal knuckles among other items, according to court records.

The juvenile was released to his mother, while Trujillo and the other man were taken to Loves Park Police Department for questioning.

The man told officials he was “couch surfing” and had no knowledge of Trujillo’s possession of cocaine or psilocybin. He did tell police he told the suspect he had someone who wanted to buy cannabis.

Trujillo refused to speak with officers.

Trujillo is charged with felon possession of weapons and manufacturing and delivering cannabis, Schedule One substances and cocaine.
