Virginia mom says teen’s ‘heart stopped’ and she lay dying for 16 minutes at school as staff ‘did nothing’

A Virginia mom has launched an $85 million legal fight after claiming school staff did nothing as her teenage daughter lay dying for 16 minutes. 16-year-old Kaleiah Jones tragically died after going to school on February 20. According to a lawsuit which has been filed by her mom, Keyonna Stewart, the teen suffered a cardiac issue before collapsing in a hallway at Menchville High School, Newport News.
