PORTLAND, Ore. – KGW is issuing a Weather Impact Alert Day for Sunday, Oct. 24, due to steady, heavy rain around the Portland and Salem metro areas. KGW meteorologist Rod Hill said the Portland and Salem metro areas are likely to receive between a half-inch and 1.25 inches Sunday over a 24-hour period. “For people with outdoor plans, Sunday will be a washout with likely rain much of the day, including potential 24-hour rain totals of .50-1.25 inches in the Portland and Salem metro areas,” he said.
