Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is facing trouble complying with a court order to hand over his Manhattan penthouse and other assets to two election workers he defamed.
Giuliani’s attorney claims he’s “ready” to make the transfer but is waiting for paperwork related to his apartment shares. However, lawyers for the election workers say Giuliani’s team has been unresponsive and that he “is not ‘ready’ to make any turnovers.”
Despite the delay, a moving company representative will be given access to Giuliani’s apartment on Thursday. The apartment is valued at $5.6 million, and his other assets include a Mercedes Benz worth $25,000 and a watch collection worth tens of thousands of dollars.
Giuliani, who plans to keep his $3.5 million residence in Palm Beach, Florida, could face the transfer of that property if the judge deems it necessary to satisfy the $150 million defamation verdict against him.
In a separate case, Giuliani is facing a sexual harassment and assault lawsuit from his former employee Noelle Dunphy. Chaos erupted at a recent hearing, with Giuliani making personal attacks against Dunphy before being muted by the judge.
