Florida grandfather ‘executed’ in front of grandson after honking at another car in road rage incident

A Florida grandfather is dead , “executed” in front of his adult grandson in a nasty road rage incident that played out in Riverview , it was reported.

Steven Powers, 61, was reportedly driving in the census-designated place in Hillsborough County just southeast of Tampa on Sunday afternoon on U.S 301 at approximately 2:15 p.m.

That’s when Kentavious Gholston allegedly cut them off in a black Mazda, the police said. Investigators believe that Powers, who had been driving a work van, honked at Gholston, which promoted him to abruptly “brake-check” the grandfather before stopping in the middle of the road, WFLA reported.

Gholston then got out of his vehicle, approached the van , and started coming at the older man, who threw a punch at him as he approached. Gholston redirected that punch, threw Powers to the ground, then, when he was utterly defenseless, pulled out a handgun and opened fire on him.
