Jets Won On Thursday Night Despite Chant From Crowd

Home fans didn’t hide their frustration on the New York Jets during their Thursday Night Showdown against the Houston Texans. Despite that, however, Aaron Rodgers and Co. weren’t bothered.

The Jets entered the Week 9 game with a 2-6 record. And amid a lackluster first half that saw them fail to score, the fans’ disappointment only intensified, prompting a “Sell the team” chant across the stadium.

There was even a fan who wore a “Sell the team” mask, addressing owner Woody Johnson amid the Jets’ continued struggles under his ownership.

It was certainly a rather painful moment for the Jets, especially since there were high expectations for them entering the season.

Nonetheless, perhaps motivated by the chants, the Jets staged an intense comeback in the second half to turn things around.

New York pulled off a 21-13 win, with Aaron Rodgers finishing with 211 yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-32 pass completion. Garrett Wilson helped the Jets dominate in the air, making nine receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
