The City of Irvine invites residents to participate in a special Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Formal Garden in Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park. Mayor Farrah N. Khan emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “Each year, we gather as a community on Veterans Day to honor and remember the generations of American men and women who selflessly dedicated their lives to seeing the ideas of equality, democracy, justice, and freedom defended.”
The ceremony will celebrate the unwavering dedication of service members, both past and present, and will include special recognition for local veterans, veterans groups, and military organizations. The event is free and open to the public, providing an opportunity to honor the valor and sacrifice of those who have served. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will relocate to Irvine City Hall, adjacent to the park. Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park is located at 4 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine.
