Investigators have made progress in the unsolved murder of 6-year-old beauty pageant winner JonBenet Ramsey.
A team of experts is using advanced techniques to analyze evidence in the 1996 Boulder, Colorado case.
Ramsey was found dead in her basement after her parents discovered a ransom note. An autopsy revealed she had been sexually assaulted, strangled, and suffered a skull fracture.
DNA was found under her fingernails and in her underwear, but it has not yet been matched to a suspect.
Ramsey’s father, John, believes new DNA technology could help solve the case. He is collaborating with Netflix on a docuseries about the investigation.
John and his wife, Patsy, and their son were cleared as suspects in 2008.
