Pinpoint Weather: Sunny tomorrow; much warmer mid-week with storm chances

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Dry air remains in place tomorrow with morning lows in the 40s and afternoon temperatures ranging from the upper 60s to mid 70s under sunny skies. Another beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors.

As high pressure slides off to the east, winds become more southerly Tuesday which will help promote a warming trend with highs reaching the mid 80s as humidity increases over mid-week.

A cold front will approach the region from the west and begin to stall out before lifting back to the north as a warm front over the middle portion of the week. This will introduce daily rain and storm chances.

The majority of Tuesday looks dry for most, but there will be a chance for a few showers or storms west of the Blue Ridge late in the day. Areawide scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon and evening hours Wednesday through Friday.

Once a cold front clears the rain out late Friday, dry air returns for next weekend with highs back in the mid 70s…
