PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A man was sentenced to 17 and a half years in prison on Friday by a Multnomah County judge for hitting and killing a man with his truck and then trying to run down a witness, the county DA’s office announced on Sunday.
According to court records, Frederick Deatric Moore was driving a pickup truck in the parking lot of Eastport Plaza on Southeast 82nd Avenue on June 6, 2022. Meanwhile, Vincent Timothy was walking north along Southeast 82nd.
When Timothy emerged from behind some buildings, Moore drove the truck onto Southeast Center Street and waited about 30 feet behind the stop sign.
