Two men arrested in separate Lowcountry child exploitation cases, facing 13 total charges

LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Two men have been arrested on 13 total charges connected to two separate cases of the sexual exploitation of minors, according to a release from South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Mark Edward Lamothe, a 62-year-old from Charleston was arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree.

Caleb Anthony Swibaker a 21-year-old from Summerville was also arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, and was charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree…
