NCPD Step up patrols following multiple zone 8 shootings

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department has realigned resources to increase patrols in the northern region of the city, following multiple shootings in neighborhoods throughout the week.

Ramped up officer patrols and presence throughout the northern region of North Charleston. North Charleston Police Department, North Bureau, Captain Justin Holt, explained patrols and presence will be heavily concentrated in what they call “Zone 8”. Including areas like Northwoods Estates, Deer Park, the Greenridge Road Corridor, and others.

In efforts of adding an extra layer of security, safety, and assurance for the community. “Residents want visibility, and we understand that,” Capt. Holt said. “The City of North Charleston is a large area. We have dedicated resources right now to these areas and the North Bureau.”…
