JENSEN BEACH, Fla (CBS12) — Martin County firefighters recently carried out a complex rooftop rescue after a worker suffered a medical emergency while on top of a home in Jensen Beach.
According to Martin County Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched on February 24 after an adult male became unresponsive while working on the roof of a private home. Because of the height and limited access, the department’s Special Response Team (SRT) was called to conduct the technical rescue.
Fire officials said SRT members climbed onto the roof and began providing emergency medical care under challenging conditions.
